Beskrivning

Agavesirap är ett naturligt sötningsmedel som utvinns skonsamt ur plantan agave i Mexiko där den tidigt upptäcktes och älskades av Aztekerna. Den är 25% sötare än socker men har ett lågt GI på 26. Detta beror på att den till största delen består av fruktos. Agavesirap smakar också helt fantastiskt och är mycket användbart i all typ av matlagning. 

Användning:

Fördelarna med agavesirap är många och dessutom går den att laga mat och baka med precis som vanligt socker. Till skillnad från syntetiska sötningsmedel så blir agaven krispig i kakor, den binder vätska och konserverar. Man kan dock behöva anpassa recepten när man använder agave. Eftersom agaven är sötare behöver man inte använda så mycket. Används med fördel i och på desserter, glass, bakning, kaffe, smoothies, våfflor m.m. Eller varför inte ringla lite agavesirap på dina kokosplättar.
